For a long time, the timber industry has been driven by volume and low prices. This has led to much of the wood being produced quickly, with lower durability and a greater need for maintenance and replacement. Our philosophy is simple: it’s better to invest in high-quality timber that lasts longer and requires less effort over time.

Over the years, we have built a manufacturing process where we maintain full control at every stage – from selection to finished product – because it’s our attention to detail in every step that makes the difference.

Our timber is always environmentally certified, and we actively work to reduce our environmental impact. By minimizing waste, improving production efficiency, and extending the lifespan of what we make, we help ensure that fewer resources need to be used.

For us, it’s about using what we have wisely – and creating timber that truly lasts.

Environmental Policy

As a consumer of forest raw materials and a wood-processing industry, CALVEA AB is committed to conducting its operations in a manner that is as gentle as possible on both the environment and our employees.
‍
We shall comply with all applicable legislation and adhere to the requirements and intentions of PEFC/05-32-7/V533 and FSC-C089427. As far as possible, we will ensure that our raw materials do not originate from:

• Illegal or unauthorized logging operations,
• Forest areas where traditional or civil rights are violated,
• Forests where high conservation values are threatened,
• Genetically modified trees,
• Natural forests that have been cleared for plantations or non-forestry land use.

We will also uphold the core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) regarding:

‍•Child labor,
• Forced labor,
• Discrimination in the workplace,
• The right to unionize and enter into collective agreements.

‍Our operations will be conducted and continuously improved in a way that reduces any potential negativeimpact on the environment.

Our raw materials shall, to the greatest extent possible, originate from environmentally certified forestry. CALVEA AB is committed to increasing the volume of certified material in our supply chain.
‍
We will fulfill our responsibilities to employees, society, the environment, and contractors in a responsible and ethical manner.

All personnel shall be trained and informed to ensure they understand and can comply with the above requirements and intentions.
